Penske Truck Leasing held a grand opening today to celebrate its new, expanded facility in the New Orleans suburb of Harahan, Louisiana. Located in the Elmwood Business Park at 149 Hord St., the center provides full-service truck leasing, consumer and commercial truck rental and contract truck fleet maintenance.
The new facility replaced an older building on the six-acre site, enabling Penske to enlarge its service bays and add a fourth bay. The expanded building also includes a bigger wash bay with an automatic washing system, a new parts room, and more streamlined, spacious accommodations for customers and the team of 45 associates.
"We’re excited to be able to welcome customers to our new facility in Jefferson Parish,” said Terry Scott, Penske Truck Leasing senior vice president for the south central region. “This expanded center enables us to provide even better support to our customers in the New Orleans area. We’ve seen strong demand for lease and rental services, stemming from local businesses, the port and tourism industry.”
The 16,674-square-foot facility includes four truck service bays and a fuel island.

Wireless technology to connect technicians to truck diagnostic and analytic software
The rental department is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday, 8 a.m. to noon. The service department is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The phone number for the Harahan center is 504-733-6500.
