Penske Logistics has earned placement on this year's Top Green Providers list that is published by Food Logistics magazine.

The publication's annual listing recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the cold food and beverage industry.

Penske has been a leader in the electric truck space, which includes an EV charging station infrastructure, winning awards as part of the U.S. EPA SmartWay program, taking part in industry webinar events, and the company's involvement in a number of sustainable organizations and initiatives.

But, in fact, the complete opposite happened. A continued increase in demand coupled with carrier constraints and a driver shortage has strained capacity, and carriers are getting more selective with the freight they will haul. The current situation is worse than the last extraordinarily tight market the industry faced in 2018, and it is expected to last through the end of the year.
