Breast cancer awareness and early detection will take center stage today at Penske locations across the globe as more than 25,000 associates take part in the seventh annual Penske Pink Out.

The associate-led event, which began in 2015 in the U.S. with 200 associates, has grown to locations across Penske's international footprint. Associates in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico, and The Netherlands are taking part.

Penske Logistics has earned placement on this year's Top Green Providers list that is published by Food Logistics magazine.

The publication's annual listing recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the cold food and beverage industry.

Penske has been a leader in the electric truck space, which includes an EV charging station infrastructure, winning awards as part of the U.S. EPA SmartWay program, taking part in industry webinar events, and the company's involvement in a number of sustainable organizations and initiatives.

A continued increase in demand coupled with carrier constraints and a driver shortage has strained capacity, and carriers are getting more selective with the freight they will haul. The current situation is worse than the last extraordinarily tight market the industry faced in 2018, and it is expected to last through the end of the year.
