Driving Change: Truckers Against Trafficking Brings Powerful Exhibit to Penske

Last week, Penske welcomed Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) and their powerful mobile exhibit, the Freedom Drivers Project, to its EPES Charlotte Terminal in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The walk-through exhibit tells the story of human trafficking through artifacts from real-life cases, portraits of everyday heroes and stories straight from survivors, giving associates a firsthand look at the realities of human trafficking. The message is clear: this isn't a distant problem. It happens in plain sight, in the communities and along the routes Penske drivers travel every day.

Penske has proudly supported TAT since 2019 as a Diamond-level sponsor and remain committed to that mission. More than 19,208 of Penske’s current and former drivers have completed TAT's human trafficking awareness training, each one adding to a growing network of eyes on the road helping to keep communities safe.

One of EPES drivers from Greensboro, North Carolina was on hand to speak to the real-world impact of TAT training and how it sharpens awareness on the road.

TAT's visit also coincided with a leadership event, giving those attendees the opportunity to experience the exhibit and reinforce that human trafficking awareness isn't exclusive to drivers. Penske believes it’s something everyone in the transportation industry should understand.

Awareness protects everyone – and Penske is proud to invest in that.
