Penske Logistics’ work in the automotive sector has been recognized by long-time customer General Motors, with a pair of 2021 Supplier of the Year awards, at GM’s recent Phoenix awards ceremony. Penske took home the hardware in the Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) category for services provided in Mexico, and for Dedicated Delivery Service (DDS) efforts to transport service parts to GM dealerships in the United States.

Penske Truck Leasing has joined the Torc Robotics Autonomous Advisory Council (TAAC). Torc Robotics is an independent subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG. The TAAC is comprised of key freight industry leaders who will provide strategic guidance to Torc as it integrates with the freight network and tackles challenges beyond highway driving.

Penske Truck Leasing recently opened a new facility in Tampa, Florida. Located at 7140 East Martin Luther King Boulevard, the new location will allow the transportation services company to upgrade the service it provides to existing customers in the area, as well as the ability to add-on new customers. This is the second recent investment Penske has made in the local Tampa market.
