Once again in 2015, Penske Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics will be highly visible at this year’s Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo taking place in Dallas, May 4-May 7, at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. A platinum sponsor, Penske will appear on multiple panels and be an exhibitor.

The company will have a compressed natural gas (CNG) tractor on display in booth 626. On Thursday, May 7, a full-service Penske Truck Leasing facility equipped to service CNG vehicles will be one component of an off-site Expo tour.

Penske Truck Leasing Welcomes Mitsui as New Investor

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. (“PTL”) today announced that Tokyo-based Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui”) has acquired a 20.0% limited partnership interest in PTL from General Electric Capital Corporation (“GECC”). Following Mitsui’s investment, GECC will continue to own a 29.9% limited partnership interest. The transaction will not have any impact on Penske Corporation’s management and control of the company as it will continue to own a 50.1% interest in PTL and control the General Partner.

Operation Safe Driver Week Starts Oct. 19

To raise driver awareness and increase road safety, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will kick off its annual Operation Safe Driver program Oct. 19, nationwide.

During the week, enforcement agencies across the nation will be on heightened alert aimed at both commercial vehicles and cars. Among the things drivers can expect are more-frequent roadside inspections, strict safety-belt enforcement, and much more. Penske Gets Grants to Retrofit SoCal Facilities for NGV Maintenance

Penske Truck Leasing announced today at the Alternative Clean Energy (ACT) Expo that it was awarded grants totaling $525,000 from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) in Diamond, Bar, California. The grants will help offset the company’s costs to modify its existing locations in Southern California and enable it to provide maintenance services on trucks with engines that run on natural gas.
