Penske Truck Leasing in 2019 will serve as a Platinum Sponsor and exhibitor at the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition from April 14-16 in Cincinnati.
The Penske Driver™ app just added a major upgrade to benefit truck drivers ahead of the busy holiday freight season. Deliveries are always time critical but around the holidays, freight such as food, beverages, retail shipments, and e-commerce gift parcels of toys and electronics are at peak seasonal demand.
Today, Penske Truck Leasing announced the launch of Fleet Insight™, a proprietary website designed exclusively for Penske customers to save them time and provide visibility and control. Fleet Insight is part of Penske’s overall connected fleet suite of products, offering customers a connected, streamlined, and customizable home for their data.
With technology evolving at a rapid pace in the transportation industry, a growing number of fleet operators are looking for telematics and onboard technology solutions that help increase visibility into their daily operations, with hopes of identifying and correcting any fleet inefficiencies.
Penske Truck Leasing’s connected fleet solutions will take center stage at the upcoming Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. The Connected Vehicle Technology Showcase, being held during the ACT Expo (April 30 through May 3 at the Long Beach Convention Center in California), will include timely workshops featuring industry and government stakeholders that are driving innovation, and an expo hall show floor that will provide hands-on access to connected fleet solutions.
Penske Truck Leasing is returning to this year’s in.sight User Conference to showcase its connected fleet solutions capabilities, with specific focus on Penske’s integration capabilities with PeopleNet. The event, hosted by PeopleNet and TMW, will take place August 13 to 16 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Penske Truck Leasing has established an onboard technology consulting group within its existing operations. The group was created as a value-added service to help Penske’s customers to address the proliferation of technology choices and questions fleet operators have about selecting, evaluating, implementing, and using onboard systems. Penske takes a device-neutral approach when helping its customers evaluate on-board systems.
