Penske will be a part of tomorrow’s Milicruit online career fair.Milicruit is a website devoted to pairing U.S. military veterans with prospective employers. It will take place on Wednesday, May 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Penske human resources staff will host real-time chats with prospective associates.

Currently, Penske is seeking to fill openings across the U.S., for jobs such as technicians/mechanics, vehicle maintenance supervisors/managers, drivers, sales and customer service.
Penske is on the current G.I. Jobs magazine Top 100 Military Friendly Employers ®list, placing 83rd on the overall list, and 10th in the transportation industry.

Rental support coordinators Taryn Hammerschmidt, Andy Lawrence, Dallas Mugno and Scott Philips enjoy the cutting-edge component of working with customers in a newer medium.
So, Hammerschmidt reached out to the customer, and offered a few options. After contacting the local Penske office on his behalf, she was able find a perfect match for the customer’s needs, and help the customer complete his reservation.
Emily Yoder began working for 
A former college football player, Alex Lombana (photo right) can be described as high-energy and gregarious, two good traits to be in possession of as an up-and-coming Penske lease sales representative.
While Meyer’s had a distinguished logistics career, SAE Deedra Froemming (photo right), who’s based in Kennesaw, Ga., is settling into a new role.
The company will take part in 16 other regional and national virtual career fairs, through November. Penske has had success in hiring veterans in a wide array of jobs.
Penske has been named to G.I. Jobs magazine’s 
Michael Williams (pictured right), a branch service manager at Penske’s Fort Myers’ location, came to Penske after serving in the Marine Corps for 27 years, retiring as a chief warrant officer. He says Penske’s commitment to teamwork and excellent customer satisfaction makes the organization a great employer for military veterans. In G.I. Jobs magazine, he said, “You can still practice the skills you developed in the Armed Forces. I especially encourage those with experience fixing mechanical equipment to look into a career with Penske.”
“The industry is changing so fast we have to keep pace with these changes,” said technical training board member Ed Glaessmann (pictured right), a high-level technician in Pennsylvania. Glaessmann, paired with Robert Anthony (now a Pa. maintenance supervisor), won back-to-back titles at Penske’s national technical challenge event, a competition designed to test preventive maintenance knowledge.
Burke has learned more about the training process during his time on the board, and is looking forward to helping ensure “that we’re lining up our training with the changing needs of our businesses.”
