Sam Hornish, Jr. Drives Penske Truck Rental Car

Sam Hornish, Jr. will once again pilot the yellow, No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Ford Mustang in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 race at the Richmond International Raceway. Hornish and the No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Ford Mustang team are once again holding down the top spot in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings. He has been on-point for nearly half the season, occupying the number one position for 11 of the 24 races run to date.
<p>Over the last seven races, Hornish has five top-three finishes and he has been the top finishing <a href="http://www.nascar.com/en_us/nationwide-series.html" title="NASCAR Nationwide Series">Nationwide Series</a> regular in those events. This season is building toward a NASCAR career best year for the three-time IndyCar champion as he has made steady gains in speed and consistency. Sam Hornish, Jr. will pilot the yellow No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Ford Mustang in this Friday's NASCAR Nationwide series Feed the Children 300 race at the Kentucky Speedway.
<p></p><p>"Our No. 12 <a href="http://www.pensketruckrental.com" title="Penske Truck Rental | 1-800-GO-PENSKE | @PenskeMoving">Penske Truck Rental</a> Ford has been good here at Kentucky," noted <a href="http://www.penskeracing.com/drivers/index.cfm?did=2461" title="Penske Racing Driver Sam Hornish, Jr.">Penske Racing's Hornish.</a> "This will be my third start here in a Nationwide car. I feel like we have a solid base coming in and a clear idea of what to expect in the race. Back in my open-wheel days we won a couple of races here, so that makes it easy to like this place. One of our goals this year has been putting additional emphasis on the intermediate tracks, and I think that has shown this season.
