Penske is 2018 Military-Friendly Employer

Penske Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics have earned the 2018 Military-Friendly Employers Silver Awards designation, scoring within 30 percent of the 10th ranked organization in its respective category. The transportation company, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, has once again been honored by Victory Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine.


Penske has considerably exceeded Victory Media's standards in the areas of support and retention; policies and compliance; and recruiting and sourcing. The company also received acknowledgment for its high level of standards in these categories: hiring and onboarding; opportunity and advancement; and culture and commitment.

The Military-Friendly Employers designation includes extensive research and a data-driven survey of corporations nationally. According to Victory, the survey, methodology, criteria and weightings are created with the aid of an independent advisory council and tested by EY.

Over the last three years, veterans represented 9 percent of all new hires.
