Penske Logistics has earned placement on the G75 Green Supply Chain Partners listing by Inbound Logistics magazine. These annual awards spotlight supply chain companies, third-party logistics providers and carriers that display strong environmental stewardship in their operations. Penske has strengthened its commitment to sustainability through these actions:

  • An expansion of LEED-certified buildings. The company committed to a redesign of a 102,000-square-foot warehouse for a quick service restaurant customer that earned a LEED Gold certification in Michigan. The facility attained a 41% reduction in indoor water use and realized a 38% energy cost reduction.
  • Penske’s dedicated contract carriage operations utilizes renewable diesel fuel and operates alternative energy trucks. The fleet has achieved emissions reductions through a variety of tools, which include analyzing driver behavior, load consolidation, reducing empty miles, while maximizing truck utilization.
