Penske Logistics Collects Supply Chain Awards for Transportation Management and Warehousing Services

Penske Logistics has been honored with Quest for Quality Awards for its transportation management and warehousing solutions by Logistics Management magazine. The magazine and Peerless Research Group obtained in excess of 4,500 industry responses as part of the process.

The publication wrote: “Today, there’s little doubt that the intersection of supply chain technology, changing online consumer spending habits, data management, delivery preferences and other factors are all serving as game changers in how 3PLs (third-party logistics providers) are continually striving to better serve shippers (companies who create goods and services).”

The TMS award has five categories: Carrier/selection negotiation; order fulfillment; transportation distribution; inventory management; and logistics information systems.

The value added warehousing and distribution solutions categories are: Customer service/value added services; order fulfillment; transportation distribution; inventory management; and logistics information systems.

Penske Logistics, powered by its ClearChain technology suite, received the highest scores for both awards in the logistics information systems categories (there were 11 winners for each award).

“It is quite validating to be honored by our industry for our TMS and warehousing offerings,” stated Marc Althen, president of Penske Logistics. “Penske has made major technology investments in recent years and will continue to make these investments to provide our customers with the most robust systems.”
