Penske Supports IFDA Truck Driving Championship, Distribution Solutions Conference

Penske Truck Leasing is a sponsor of two upcoming events for the International Foodservice Distributors Association: the Truck Driving Championship and the Distribution Solutions Conference.

For the IFDA Truck Driving Championship, Penske supplies the tractors used in the driving competition. The event -- to be held in Orlando from September 16 to 18 -- tests drivers' skill behind the wheel, their knowledge of safety rules and regulations, and their ability to spot safety hazards.

Penske will be exhibiting at booth 913 at the IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference, to be held October 16 to 18 at the Tampa Convention Center. The conference is designed to provide insight on timely subjects including the Sanitary Food Transportation Act, automation, and driver recruitment and retention.

"We are pleased to be able to support these two IFDA events, which reflect Penske's commitment to safe driving and providing the right solutions to ensure timely and efficient transportation," said Russ Scaramastra, Penske vice president of sales, strategic initiatives. "Many foodservice providers rely on Penske to spec and lease the right trucks, maintain their vehicles for maximum uptime, and provide rental vehicles during periods of peak demand."
