Penske Logistics is joining the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and other organizations in thanking and recognizing America’s dedicated truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week Sept. 15-21.
“We thank our more than 2,900 dedicated and skilled professional Penske drivers who ensure safe, prompt and seamless delivery of our customer’s goods while maintaining the highest level of safety and customer service,” said Marc Althen, President – Penske Logistics. “We applaud this special group of professionals who keep America moving by delivering life’s essentials.”

- Over 80 percent of U.S. communities depend solely on trucking for delivery of their goods and commodities.
- In 2012, the trucking industry hauled 9.4 billion tons of freight, or 68.5 percent of the total U.S. freight tonnage (followed by rail with 14.8 percent of the nation’s freight tonnage)
