Kalmar’s 70,000th Ottawa Terminal Tractor Destined for Penske Truck Leasing

Penske Truck Leasing helped Kalmar, part of Cargotec, celebrate a significant milestone with the production of its 70,000th Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractor. Destined for long-standing customer Penske Truck Leasing, the truck was completed on February 27 at Kalmar’s US manufacturing facility in Ottawa, Kansas. Employees and guests gathered at the plant to celebrate and watch the final assembly of the truck.

Paul Rosa, Senior Vice President, Procurement and Fleet Planning, Penske Truck Leasing: “Penske Truck Leasing is pleased to take delivery of the 70,000th unit from our valued supplier Kalmar Ottawa. We commend Kalmar Ottawa on this milestone and we look forward to continuing to work together to provide our customers with the most reliable and innovative trucks for their fleets.”

Doug Queen, Kalmar Ottawa VP Solution Sales, Terminal Tractors: “We continue to lead the market because of our dedicated employees, large dealer network, customer centricity and superior offering. We invented the Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractor in 1958 and now the Ottawa name is the most widely known terminal tractor brand in the country, synonymous with the highest quality, value and reliability. Penske Truck Leasing has purchased a significant number of our trucks over the years, so we’re honoured to share this important milestone with them.”
