Penske Truck Leasing Announces Pair of Executive Appointments

READING, Pa., Sept. 21, 2010 - Penske Truck Leasing announced two executive appointments.


Art Vallely, Senior Vice President - Rental and Vehicle Management
Vallely, who became Senior Vice President - Rental in mid 2006, has now added vehicle management responsibilities, which includes vehicle supply, vehicle remarketing and non-vehicle procurement. He joined Penske in 1992 as an Area Rental Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Area, and ascended to district manager roles in Landover, Md. and North Bergen, N.J. In 2000, Vallely was named General Manager for Penske Utility Rental, and became Vice President – Commercial Rental in 2001. Vallely earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vt. He resides in Oley, Pa. with his wife Judy and three children.

Jennifer Sockel, Vice President - Administration
Sockel has been promoted to Vice President - Administration after being named Vice President – Real Estate by Penske in 2005. In addition to oversight of real estate activities, Sockel now is responsible for facilities, energy and telecommunications. She was hired by Penske in 1998 as counsel in the legal department. Sockel earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature and government from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and a J.D. from William & Mary Law School, Williamsburg, Va. She lives in Wyomissing, Pa. with her husband Christian and two children.
