Penske Logistics Announces Three Executive Appointments

Jim Erdman, Senior Vice President – Global Products
In this new position, Erdman will develop and implement Penske Logistics’ product offerings and optimize the transit of domestic and international freight through customer supply chains. He will be based in Dearborn, Mich. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President for the Asia-Pacific Region. Erdman has been with Penske for 21 years. His previous roles include leading Ford Motor Company’s operations for Penske Logistics in Dearborn, Mich. and serving as Managing Director in South America. He will report to Vince Hartnett, Penske Logistics President.

Amy Ilyes, Senior Vice President – Customer Experience
Ilyes has been named Senior Vice President, Customer Experience. She is responsible for the global deployment and ongoing development of the customer experience transformation. Penske's Customer Experience is a unique business process for creating value in supply chains that incorporates logistics engineering and technology, logistics operations and strategic account relationships. More than $1 billion in savings has been delivered to Penske's customers through redesign, continuous improvement and innovation. She has been a key member of Penske's engineering and technology group for 22 years, most recently serving as Vice President -- Logistics Engineering. She will be based in Beachwood, Ohio at Penske's LTEQ center and report to Hartnett. Ilyes earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned both a master’s degree and a doctorate in operations research from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Angela Yang, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific Region
Yang was promoted to Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific Region. She will head Penske’s Asia-Pacific operations and will continue working from Shanghai, China. Yang joined Penske’s Asia-Pacific operations in 2007 as Operations Director. Before joining Penske, she was Associate Director – Procurement for Pfizer, and held senior roles with Deloitte and Capgemini. Yang will continue reporting to Erdman. She earned a bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing and an MBA from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.
