Penske recently teamed up with Veteran Recruiting Services and other leading employers to support the White House Joining Forces Initiative to hire at least 50,000 veterans and military spouses by 2018. In 2014, 13 percent of Penske new-hires were veterans.

Michael Williams, a branch service manager at Penske's Fort Myers' location, came to Penske after serving in the Marine Corps for 27 years, retiring as a chief warrant officer. He says Penske's commitment to teamwork and excellent customer satisfaction make the organization a great employer for military veterans.

Robert Dejean, a truck driver at Penske Logistics' Ontario, Calif., location, began his career at Penske following stints in the Army, the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. He works with fellow veterans and appreciates the group's camaraderie.

Kurt Nienhuis, a branch service manager at Penske's Colorado Springs, Colo., location, joined the Penske team after serving in the Air Force and Army Reserve. Every day, he uses his military skills to lead his truck maintenance team.
